Paramount Studios to Host “A Lifetime of Excellence” Event
December 20, 2013 – On February 21, 2014 the aviation community will gather in Los Angeles, CA., to pay tribute to Bob Hoover at a special event to be held at Paramount Studios, bringing together two iconic names (Hoover and Paramount) that will make this event a “night to remember.” Tribute Hosts include: Harrison Ford, Jim Lovell, Gene Cernan, Gen. Lloyd ‘Fig’ Newton, Herb Kelleher, Sean D. Tucker, Clay Lacy, Bruce McCaw, Joe Clark, Bill Fanning, Rob Liddell, Sully Sullenberger, and Randy Babbitt.
The evening will start with the Hoover Lifetime of Excellence Reception, which will allow attendees to “Walk the Red Carpet” of Bob Hoover’s life. This will be followed by a dinner under the iconic Paramount Studios arch, hosted by Ron and Diane Fagen & Paul Wood. After dinner, guests will enter the Paramount Studios Theater for the world premier of the Bob Hoover Documentary, presented by James and Jane Slattery. Following the premier, there will be a brief program, with comments from the Host Committee.
Due to the generosity of a friend of Bob’s, a Special Offer is available to EAA Warbirds of America Members. Individual tickets will be available for $750 per person (normal price $950). This special offer will be available for the first 30 members who contact Lesley Poberezny at 262-409-1222 or Lesley@ellesomar.com.
If are unable to attend the Tribute, you can sponsor a ticket at the special Warbird price for a Veteran, who would attend with your compliments.
